Our Purpose:
First of all, the purpose for joining the HDK Club is the pursuit of happiness, or “yuyu” in Chinese. “Yuyu” is originated from “Dongjingfu”, a poem authored by Zhang Heng, the inventor of an earthquake detection device in the Eastern Han Dynasty (25-220), which goes “I was overwhelmingly happy when good friends come by.”
Two millennia later, the concept of “yuyu” has evolved into “the pursuit of happiness for oneself and others.” Besides making oneself happy, we should also make people around us happy, including our friends and relatives, as well as those we happen to meet by chance.
Eligibility:
You must be of good moral character and willing to do good deeds to join the HDK Club and remain a member. Recommendation of an existing HDK Club member is required.
Our Activities:
As a not-for-profit organization, we aim to seek benefits and happiness for our members. We hold events relating to cinematography, learning, business start-up, health and daily life topics. We help our members to raise funds via our media platform sponsored by Macau Lotus TV.
